VAVUNIYA NORTH DIVISIONAL SECRETARIAT DIVISION-NORTH PROVINCE

LOCATION AND AREA

The Vavuniya North division located in the Northern part of Vavuniya District. It covers of an area about 196,690.96 Ha (1966.90 Sq km). This consist for 10% of the Land area in the entire North - East Province and 3% of the island.

BOUNDRIES

North    - Mullaitivu District

South   - Anuradhapura District

East      - Trincomalee & Anuradhapura Districts

West    - Mullaitivu

ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS

Administratively this division constitutes part of Vavuniya District. This division has 20 GN Divisions and covers 110 respective villages. There are 5637 families consisting of 18261 persons up to 30^thseptember 2019.
